33 Rustic & Barn Wedding Venues Venues in Georgia

33 Best Georgia Barn Wedding Venues

A barn can be an ideal location for a rustic or country wedding. Today, weddings in barns are taking place all over the Georgia, giving the bride and groom the opportunity to hold their wedding in a very personal and unique setting. A barn wedding, like a farm wedding, can be dressed up or down to match the style and decor of your wedding and provide endless charm.

If you are looking for a rustic barn style wedding then check out some of the places below, maybe one of them will turn out to be your “perfect” venue. I wanted to share this information as a guide for brides searching for the perfect barn venue for their rustic-chic wedding. Not to mention it makes me feel like all the time I spent searching for and contacting these places was well worth it.

Remember that barns, like weddings, come in all shapes and sizes, so you’re sure to find the perfect barn wedding ideas for you.  Most of the homes I was finding were either super tiny with TONS of acreage, right on top of other homes in a large resort area, or super huge but high on the mountain and with virtually no outdoor space. The other major issue I had was that once I mentioned the word “wedding” the owners wanted to charge me 5x as much. From a business point of view, that makes sense, but for a bride on a budget that was my biggest obstacle.

Here are the issues I ran into when searching for my other ideal location, a rustic-chic barn:

  1. Finding several, local barns that operate as wedding venues all on one page – I must have searched dozens of wedding sites, blogs, threads, etc. to compile a list
  2. Finding a barn that allows alcohol  – I don’t know about you but I definitely want booze at my wedding! However, I do list alcohol-free barns below.
  3. Finding a barn that has our preferred dates available – I know most brides plan their weddings much further out than I am, but it still blows my mind how many dates are booked.
  4. Finding a barn in our price range, preferably in the $1,000-2,000 range and if less even better! I can’t believe the price ranges I got back – they went as high as $15k! I know the packages can vary but I’m just looking for the venue to hold our wedding and reception and then my family, friend’s and myself will figure out the decorating, food, alcohol, etc.

Keep in mind that rates could change and you should contact the venues directly to see what options are available to you. I hope you find this information useful, but if all else hopefully you can be inspired for your upcoming or future wedding. Barn weddings can bring the rustic charm you are looking for, but keep in mind that with the rise of their popularity has also brought on the rise of their prices, or so it seems.

The owners seemed really nice but unfortunately they are all booked for September and October. I didn’t get rates since they didn’t have anything available but according to blog threads I have come across they are pretty reasonable – someone said they rented it for $2k for the entire day but that it was a discounted rate. Someone else said it was $100/hour…. Either way, we won’t be able to use them, which is a bummer.

I actually have an appointment to view this place on Sunday and will update this after I see it. *Update*  This farm was super cute and I loved the barn/bar area and outside pavilion plus the owner, David was really nice. However, it was kinda far from anything “touristry” and since nearly all our guests at our wedding will be coming from out of state this just wasn’t the right one for us. If you and most of your guests live in GA then you should definitely check this place out!

The Barn at High Point Farms: Flintstone, GA

263 Parrish Lane, Flintstone, GA 30725, (423) 280-3238

High Point Farms is a small, intimate space nestled in the shadow of Lookout Mountain’s highest point, combining rustic charm with agrarian heritage. The farm is only 15 minutes south of Chattanooga, Tennessee. We are a 70-acre working farm where we grow flowers and vegetables as well as keep horses, cows, and our ever-popular Mini-Nubian goats. Our property includes an authentic barn, a woodland ceremony, a historic farmhouse, a charming guest house, and a dreamy tree house, allowing us to offer on-site lodging packages.

I LOVE the look of the barn! It’s $4,500 for a Saturday wedding and $3,500 for a Friday or Sunday wedding, which really is pretty reasonable, just out of our budget.  The price includes use of the venue from 2PM-midnight, chairs, tables, some really neat decor items, use of the bridal and groom’s suite, corn hole, etc.

This price allows you to pretty much set everything up yourself, but you can also customize packages if you want them to take care of some of the extras. It also sounds like they work with your budget as far as adding any extras, so if you contact them you can probably work out some sort of deal which is always a plus.

Proctor Farm: Rome, Georgia

2591 Fouche Gap Road, Rome, GA 30165, (706) 232-3250

Proctor Farm combines the beauty of a vintage outdoor venue with the elegance of a southern chapel and the dependability of a team that treats their brides and grooms like family. The Proctors were living on a beautiful piece of land in Rome, Georgia, about 20 years ago. They decided to construct a one-of-a-kind structure on the property to host concerts: the barn, which we now call the Saloon! Friends, family, and others would come to visit and imagine themselves getting married there. As a result, the Proctors gladly obliged. At that point, the allure of Proctor Farm began to spread by word of mouth and grew into what we know today!

The price of the venue is $8,000 and they only schedule one event per week. That means that you have access to the barn from Monday-Saturday to prepare, as well as access on Sunday to pick up anything left behind. They even set up the wedding and do all the cleaning afterwards!

The price also includes a wedding director, tables, chairs, burlap runners, outside chapel, western saloon with a stage, sound system, and a full prep kitchen, just to name a few! The owners seem like really sweet people and love what they do. They recently added a large pavilion with a beautiful courtyard, and are in the process of building a chapel that will resemble an old country church.
