History of the Mulberry Inn in Savannah, Georgia
The history of the building housing the Mulberry Inn dates back to the 1860s. It was originally a cotton warehouse and then later became a livery stable. In the early 1900s, the site became the second Coca-Cola Bottling Company in the United States. Today, the building has been beautifully preserved as an intriguing hotel in alluring Savannah. The lobby contains period furniture as well as some old original phone boots. The large and lavish courtyard is full of wrought iron and many plants. I have found the courtyard to be one of my favorite areas, as I will sneak off there and simply write.
