Winter Wonderland Celebrates The Holiday Season

Fernbank Museum is pleased to announce a holiday exhibit entitled Winter Wonderland. This is one of the most exciting Atlanta Holiday Events and will be showcased at Fernbank in time for the Holiday Season. Winter Wonderland gives us a perspective into the cultural celebrations, events, and diverse traditions of many countries that participate in the holidays.

The annual Winter Wonderland will run from November 20, 2020, until January 8, 2021, at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Holiday festivities and events include music, performances, arts & crafts, live demonstrations, storytelling and more. The Fernbank Museum will be lit up with more than 20 Holiday and Christmas Trees with ornaments from diverse cultures across the globe. Countries highlighting their Holiday Traditions include Canada, Germany, Japan, Turkey, Israel, India, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and Switzerland.

Enjoy a season of celebrations during Fernbank’s annual Winter Wonderland: Celebrations & Traditions Around the World. This holiday-inspired exhibit features trees and other displays decorated by local cultural partners that recognize celebrations including Christmas and Hanukkah, as well as traditions and practices like indigenous art and national symbols, located on Entry and Upper Levels. Winter Wonderland also features iconic winter themes in giant “snow globe” scenes located outdoors.

Holiday Events at Winter Wonderland

Celebrations and Traditions Around The World feature Caroling and Cupcakes, Winter Wonderland Celebration Weekends, Holly Jolly Holiday Fest, and a Winter Wonderland Cocktail Party.
